There was 'Blood' at the NSFC
According to indieWIRE, the National Society of Film Critics was giddy with love for Paul Thomas Anderson's "There Will Be Blood," which took down four wins including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Cinematography.
Recent winners of the group's Best Picture prize include "Pan's Labyrinth," "Capote," "Million Dollar Baby," "American Splendor," "The Pianist," "Mulholland Drive" and "Yi Yi." Winners of the NSFC's top prize have gone on to Best Picture nominations from the AMPAS 16 times in the organization's 39 year history. Does "Blood" have the stuff to join the group? Time will tell.
