1/19 Oscarweb Round-up
Not a lot of news this week, with Sundance launching into full swing.
• A new Oscar round table, with Clooney, Jolie, Day-Lewis, Page, McAvoy and Cotillard. [Newsweek]
• Gerard Kenney begins to wrap up the tech season. [In Contention]
• Tom O'Neil talks to "Michael Clayton" star and Best Supporting Actress hopeful Tilda Swinton. [Gold Derby]
• T.L. Stanley seems a bit perturbed at this whole "prognostication" thing. [Gold Rush]
• Ramin Satoodeh thinks the Best Actress race is the most nail-biting of the season. [The Gold Digger]
• New York Magazine predicts best Picture snubs for guild favorits "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" and "There Will be Blood." I gotta say, I wouldn't be shocked by the exclusion of the latter, even though "conventional wisdom" has driven it to a perceived locked-in status as of late. [Vulture]
• "Diving Bell" director is set to be honored by the American Foundation for AIDS Reaserch. [Variety]
