Exclusive: Clint Eastwood to release two pics this year

Clint Eastwood isn't one for sitting around. Two years ago, he shot companion films "Flags of Our Fathers" and "Letters from Iwo Jima" at record pace. Turns out he's going to have two films in theaters this fall and winter--both possible awards contenders.

Monday, Universal and Eastwood finally firmed up a release date for Angelina Jolie starrer "Changeling," Period drama, produced by Imagine Entertainment and Eastwood's Malpaso Prods., will be released in a limited run on Oct. 24 before going wide a week later on Oct. 31. "Changeling" is as public as public can be, having made its world preem at the recent Cannes Film Festival, where it was in competition.

Details about Eastwood's other 2008 film, "Gran Torino," are about as secret as they could be. He's shooting the film--in which he also stars--for Warner Bros. Loosely speaking, film is about a Korean war vet's relationship with his immigrant neighbors. Studio prexy of domestic distribution Dan Fellman confirms that Warners and Eastwood will open the movie around Christmas.

Nothing wrong with that.

Comments

Clint Eastwood is my favorite actor of all time.
He is oldschool, sharp and edged.
No comparisons could be made.
He is in a class all his own.

Clint Eastwood is a legend.

Clint is a perfect late bloomer.

Its crazy how Clint Eastwood as started a whole new career. He is what every actor should want to be.
