Variety's Review Of Will Smith starrer 'Seven Pounds' Is Out!

Check out Todd McCarthy's review of Will Smith starrer "Seven Pounds." I love the line, "a profoundly peculiar drama." It's going to be very interesting to see how the film does at the box office, considering it's something of a downer.

The world loves Will Smith, to be sure, but do they love him enough to watch a movie that begins with Smith's character reporting his own suicide?

Without question, it is impressive how secret Sony has kept the storyline, right up to now. Everyone has, or did have, a different idea as to what the movie's about.

My personal favorite: Smith is a NASA engineer who worked on the space shuttle program. Because of his error, the space shuttle breaks apart. He tries to make amends by helping seven strangers.

The first part is dead WRONG. (Smith is an IRS agent.) As for the second part, it's sorta right. What do you think the movie's about?
