AFM announces panels, Mark Gill to co-star

The 2008 American Film Market has announced a panel schedule that deals heavily in film financing, new technologies, and alternative distribution.

The "AFM Finance Conference" will kick things off on Friday, November 7 with P. John Burke of Akin Gump Hauer & Feld LLP moderating a discussion between Weinstein COO Lee Soloman, Screen Capital Int'l Managing Director David Molner, and Film Department CEO Mark Gill of "the sky is falling" fame.

The "Web Entrepreneurs" panel will host a group of writer/producers who are distributing content online, including Strike TV co-founder Ken LaZebnik and Lonelygirl15 writer Mary Feuer.  "Journey to the Center of the Earth" helmer Eric Brevig will moderate "Through the Rose (and Aqua) Colored Glasses: The Future of 3D" while the ASC will assemble a laundry list of d.p.'s to discuss "New Technologies and Low Budget Films."

Other panels include producer Peggy Rajski moderating a "Pitch Me!" session, "Getting Your Film Seen" programmed by Film Independent, and "Production Incentives: The Reel World" examining state tax credits within the current economic climate.

The AFM runs November 5-12 in Santa Monica.  More information is at www.americanfilmmarket.com.
