"Porno" gets an R

While we're still waiting to see which fall fest will book Kevin Smith's "Zack and Miri Make a Porno," The Weinstein Company has won their appeal with the MPAA to give the film an R rating.

Said Harvey: "This is a great day for Kevin Smith fans and we are grateful that the MPAA’s appeals board was able to overturn what we felt was an unwarranted and overly restrictive rating. ‘Zack and Miri Make A Porno’ is one of Kevin’s funniest films and deserves to be enjoyed by as wide an audience as possible.  Somewhere up there George Carlin is smiling today."

Actually, I think Carlin is wondering: "Who really wants to see an R-rated porno?"
