Cannes | Support missing journalists! Buy our movie!

This giant billboard outside The Grand Hotel is causing many passersbys to stop in the rain and jot down the web address.  In fact, we were eager to get this up on The Circuit to further the cause -- an effort to raise money for two kidnapped journalists in Iraq.

An American might well ask if this seemingly important ad could compete with the overload of towering film ads up and down the Croisette.

However, a Frenchman may wonder why two famous actors, Gerard Jugnot and Gerard Lanvin, switched professions, changed their names, and got themselves nabbed in the Middle East.

Turns out it's just another, rather tasteless ad for a movie: "Envoyés très spéciaux"
