Virgina | Spacek vs. aliens

This Thursday, Sissy Spacek and Troy Garity will attend the opening night screening of "Lake City" at the Virginia Film Festival.

They will join co-directors Perry Moore and Hunter Hill, and producers Mark Johnson and Weiman Seid.  Johnson, Seid, and Moore are all U of Virgina alumni, which is the fest's presenting sponsor.

Virginia will also unspool Darren Aronofsky's "The Wrestler," Danny Boyle's "Slumdog Millionaire," and Daniel Barnz's "Phoebe in Wonderland."

This edition of the fest is themed around aliens.  Apparantly, they'll be "more than 100 guests covering the alien experience in all its forms."

The Virginia Film Festival runs October 30 - November 1.  More info at vafilm.com.
