Two go on Toronto’s first day

Amid the too-late night dinners and too-expensive parties in this (still) smoggy city, two deals were announced on the festival’s official first day. The Weinstein Company got world rights to “Boy A” while IFC bought North American rights to “Jar City,” a film they first latched onto at Telluride (pictured above).
