Damage control for "Brooklyn's Finest"
Perhaps answering the fallout from last night's poor buyer reception to "Brooklyn's Finest," there are reports of an email that has gone out to distribs saying that director Antoine Fuqua, famously protective of his final cut authority, will now consider editing the film. Buyers have been vocal about the ending, in particular.
"It's a disastrous ending," said one buyer.

Michael Jones is the film festival editor at Variety.com.
