NEWFEST opener and closer
The 20th annual NEWFEST, New York's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender film festival, will open with Stewart Wade's high school comedy "Tru Loved" and close with another gay teen story, Tom Gustafson's "Were the World Mine," (pictured) about a prep school outcast who dreams of musical theatre. NEWFEST runs June 5-15.
