Toronto | preems for Linklater, Boyle, Smith announced
Charles Martin Smith's "Stone of Destiny" will close the Toronto film fest. Based on a true story, pic is about four Glasgow students in 1950 who plot to retake the 300 pound Stone of Destiny, the ancient coronation stone.
TIFF also added twenty films to the Special Presentations, including the world preem of Richard Linklater's "Me and Orson Welles," Danny Boyle's "Slumdog Millionaire," Kevin Smith's "Zak and Miri Make a Porno," as well as North American preems of Soderbergh's "Che," Aronofsky's "The Wrestler," Kaufman's "Synecdoche, New York."
