A native of Los Angeles raised by two parents and "Hill Street Blues," Jon Weisman began writing for Variety in 2004 and came on board as a features editor two years later. He continues to writes regularly about TV for Variety's Daily and Weekly publications, as well as for Variety's On the Air blog. Weisman has also had more than a dozen half-hour scripts for live-action and animated children's shows produced.
He began his journalism career as a sportswriter in the 1980s, currently writes about the Dodgers at Dodger Thoughts (hosted by ESPNLosAngeles.com) and is the author of "100 Things Dodgers Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die," published in 2009. He likes all of his jobs, but will happily spend any downtime he can muster with his wife and three children.
