For the second year in a row, the American Society of Cinematographers has given two feature nominations to Roger Deakins, this time for “Revolutionary Road” and “The Reader.”
Back to topDeakins shares credit on “Reader” with Chris Menges. The other nominees announced Wednesday are Claudio Miranda for “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” Wally Pfister for “The Dark Knight” and Anthony Dod Mantle for “Slumdog Millionaire.”
ASC winners will be named at the org’s awards celebration Feb. 15 at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.
The nods are the eighth and ninth for Deakins, who was also double-nominated by the Academy last year for “No Country for Old Men” and “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.” Robert Elswit won both the ASC trophy and the Oscar last year for “There Will Be Blood.”
