Those catchy two-minute previews unspooling before your feature presentation will be receiving some extra kudos attention with the addition of the Hollywood Trailer Awards to the Hollywood Film Festival, which runs Oct. 22-27 at ArcLight Cinemas.

Feature-film previews are already feted at the Golden Trailers Awards, whose ninth edition will be held May 8 at the Orpheum Theater. (Deadline for entries is March 27.)

At the Hollywood film fest, trailers will compete in 12 categories ranging from action and drama to most original and trailer of the decade. Nominees will be announced Oct. 6 and screened alongside a Hollywood Trailer Festival during the fest.
