"Pan's Labyrinth's" Cabellero won in the fantasy category, while Tingxiao took home the period film prize for his work on "The Curse of the Golden Flower." Lamont scored a win in the contemporary category for his work on "Casino Royale."
On the television front, "Ugly Betty" captured the single-camera category, while "MADtv" snared multicamera and "Stephen King's Desperation" walked away with the movie or miniseries nod.
The 58th Annual Emmy Awards garnered the variety kudo, while Victoria's Secret "Sexy" ad won commercial honors
Warren Beatty presented Oscar-winning art director Dean Tavoularis ("The Godfather Part II") with a lifetime achievement nod. Multihyphenate Terry Gilliam also was feted for outstanding contributions to imagery.
"This is generally quite wondrous because it's literally the first award I've won in Hollywood," Gilliam proclaimed.
"The amazing thing is, I'm still here," quipped art director Gene Allen when announcing the late great inductees into the guild's Hall of Fame.
"This is a terribly important category for me because I lived with some of the honorees. The people we are talking about are like those who wrote the Declaration of Independence: They fought the battles for us," Allen said of inductees Hilyard Brown ("Cleopatra," "Back to God's Country"), Henry Bumstead ("Flags of Our Fathers," "To Kill a Mockingbird," "The Sting"), Carroll Clark ("Mary Poppins," "Old Yeller"), Stephen Goosson ("Lost Horizon," "The Lady From Shanghai") and Harry Horner ("The Heiress," "The Hustler").
Awards were held at the Beverly Hilton.
