Kodak's Cinesite ups two
Griffiths has been named director of technology, and Fernley ascends to the post of digital imaging supervisor.
An Eastman Kodak Co. employee since 1985, Griffiths was a charter member of the technology team that developed the Cineon image compositing and retouching software for Kodak. He also has served as software technology manager.
As digital imaging supervisor, Fernley will oversee employees and technological resources in the scanning, recording and editing departments. He joined Cinesite in 1993 as an artist involved in film restoration, and later moved into scanning and recording fields. Previously, he has served as purchasing manager for the motion picture department at Adolph Gasser Inc., and as a film processor and optical camera operator at Industrial Light & Magic.
Cinesite provides a range of digital services, including compositing, 2-D and 3-D effects, digital film scanning, wire and object removal and film restoration.
