Viacom ups Harrington in licensing
Harrington, who has been manager of sales since 1995, will oversee domestic licensing and promotions for all Viacom properties, which include Paramount film and TV as well as all Simon & Schuster titles. He also will take over domestic licensing and promotions for Viacom's film clip properties, a function formerly handled by the company's legal department.
He will continue to report to domestic licensing veepee Pam Newton.
Harrington joined Viacom in 1992 as manager of planning and analysis, and before that was a senior securities market regulator at both the U.S. and Australian securities commissions.
