Touch of country flavor spices mix at CityWalk
Designed by Jeff Hatch, who brought Planet Hollywood and Metropolis Club to life, the facility will have 62 large-screen monitors, a three-story computer-driven Wurlitzer jukebox facade and a state-of-the-art sound system.
Interactive kiosks where customers can call up information on their favorite country artists and a gift shop will add to the theme.
"Country Star fills the need for a place to celebrate country music and show off its best and brightest while providing good clean family entertainment," said Robert J. Schuster, CEO of Country Star Restaurants Inc.
Among those expected to be on hand for the groundbreaking are country artists Tanya Tucker, Billy Ray Cyrus, Charley Pride, John Anderson, Michelle Wright, Boy Howdy and Diamond Rio.
The company also announced a pair of executive staffings, naming Richard Graham as VP of administration and merchandising and Brian Gibson as veep of restaurant operations.
The chain hopes to open a second eatery in Las Vegas next year at the intersection of Paradise and Flamingo Roads. Sites in London, Orlando, Chicago and Japan are being considered.
