Kovacs exits All American

Joseph Kovacs, one of the founders of 13-year-old All American Television who took the company public in 1985, has ankled as distribution president.

A statement from All American TV prexy Henry Siegel said Kovacs "will be leaving to pursue other interests" but noted the two may work together on firstrun syndication projects.

Spokesman Richard Mann said Kovacs will be starting a "new venture," but he could not provide details. Mann was also unaware if Kovacs' post would be filled , but that appears unlikely with George Back serving as chairman of All American TV Distribution.

In 1990, Kovacs was upped to president and chief operating officer of All American. The company merged with Scotti Bros. Industries a year later and Segal's LBS Communications last year.
