Parsons bonds with Int'l Film

Seasoned production hand Lindsley Parsons Jr. is the new president of Intl. Film Guarantors. Parsons takes the reigns of the completion bond company after his most recent stint as CEO of Lucas Digital Ltd.

Since Intl. Film is backed by the Fireman's Fund (a $ 13 billioncompany), many of the major financing sources for independent films have come to rely on its guarantee before funding a production.

Parsons has extensive experience as both a production manager working in the trenches on feature films and as a studio production executive overseeing them.

The new Intl. Film topper began his career as a film editor, and after becoming a Directors Guild of America member, he worked as production manager.

His first studio stint was at MGM, where for more than 10 years he served as executive production manager and VP, operations. He was with Paramount Pictures for five years.
