Pressman picks Camon as veep

Alessandro Camon, former Penta Pictures exec, has signed on as veep of production at Pressman Film Corp.

The company also announced Matt Berenson as the new director of development.

Camon will be involved with acquisition, development and production for the indie. He'll report to prexy Edward R. Pressman, whose work on "Bad Lieutenant" and "Reversal of Fortune" has made him one of the higher-profile indieproducers.

Camon spent the last two years as veep of creative affairs at Penta, the joint venture between Silvio Berlusconi and the Cecchi Goris. He was involved with the films "House of Cards" and "Dangerous Game," and oversaw development of such upcoming projects as "Seven" and "Ferrari."

Berenson previously served at Cinergi Prods. as a development assistant and story editor. He worked on "Tombstone" as well as forthcoming releases "The Color of Night" and "Renaissance Man."

Pressman has produced more than 40 feature pix, including "The Specialist, ""The Immortals,""Storyville,""Hoffa,""To Sleep With Anger" and "Talk Radio."
