Matrix 'Corpus' opens April 21

Joe Stern and his Matrix Theater Co. will open their second production, Alan Bennett's British farce "Habeas Corpus," April 21. The play, produced by Stern and directed by Kristoffer Tabori, runs through June 26.

The first show from the Hollywood-based Matrix, "The Tavern," won three L.A. Drama Critics Circle awards, including best production. As with "Tavern," each role in "Habeas" will be shared by at least two actors rotating in the role.

Set for the 11 roles are Jennifer Bassey, Charles Berendt, Andrew Bloch, Hamilton Camp, Julia Campbell, Gregory Cooke, Lindsay Crouse, Kurt Deutsch, David Dukes, Neil Duncan, Paddi Edwards, Anna Gunn, Charles Hallahan, Shirley Knight, Nancy Lenehan, Audra Lindley, Nan Martin, Marian Mercer, Michael Milhoan , Andrew Robinson and Cotter Smith.

Tickets are $ 18, and are available by calling the theater B.O. at 213-852- 1445.
