'Crow' flies in May
Based on an action/adventure adult comic book, "The Crow" was one week away from wrapping production in North Carolina when Lee was killed by a bullet accidentally fired from a prop gun on March 31, 1993.
The son of chopsocky legend Bruce Lee was 28 years old.
Miramax acquired North American distribution rights to the movie for a joint release under its Dimension Films banner. Miramax has guaranteed $ 12.5 million toward prints and advertising to support the film's release.
Miramax's North American distribution of the movie was expected, following reports four months ago that the film's producer Edward R. Pressman had opened negotiations with the company.
Produced for $ 14 million, "The Crow" is owned in foreign territories by Pressman. The Summit Export Group is handling international sales of the film.
