Alan Perry

Alan Perry, general manager of the Helen Hayes Theatre, died Jan. 8 in New York. He was 36.

Perry was company manager for the Arizona Theatre Company before moving to New York in 1982.

In 1990, he became managing director of the Orpheum Theatre. He was associate producer of Broadway and Off Broadway shows including "The Lady in Question, ""Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll,""I Hate Hamlet" and "The Secret Garden."

He produced the musical revue "Back to Bacharach and David" with his partner Hal Luftig and became general manager of the Helen Hayes Theatre in December.

Survivors include his parents, a sister and his grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the Players Club in New York.
