Richard Falk, Broadway publicist who put quotes in the mouths of 10,000 clients, died Jan. 28 in New York of cancer.
He was 81.
Falk's clients included such stars as Barbra Streisand, Norman Mailer, Jayne Mansfield, Salvador Dali and Sonja Henie as well as such Broadway hopefuls as Sugar Cane and Hope Diamond.
Falk was known for his creativity and his antics amused New Yorkers who followed his career.
In addition to the greats, he represented unknown, eccentric acts and included among his clientele the Great Herman, a trained flea that had chosen New York as the city to kick off a nationwide tour. Falk checked him into the Waldorf-Astoria.
