Glaser in for Sheehan at KNBC

In a move that had been expected, KNBC-TV has named "Entertainment Tonight" correspondent Garrett Glaser as an entertainment, media and pop culture reporter.

Although he replaces David Sheehan, who has exited the station (Daily Variety , Feb. 18), Glaser will focus on reporting and steer clear of reviews.

Sources say Sheehan, who may be headed back to KCBS-TV after the February sweeps, had wanted to review only, and that caused friction with station management.

Glaser, whose extensive TV reporting background includes a stint at Gotham's WABC-TV, will continue to file freelance reports for syndicated entertainment newsmag "E.T."
