Expo moves to Burbank

The Assn. of Film Commissioners Intl. has announced that its 1995 Location Expo will move from the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium to the Burbank Hilton, signalling an end to its affiliation with the American Film Market.

The 1994 event, a trade show for film commissions and location services, will be held as scheduled Feb. 26-28 at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.

AFCI president Leigh von der Esch said in a statement that the show "had grown to such a point that we needed a larger venue." She said the organization enjoyed its association with AFMA but had reached the stage in development where it became necessary "to strike out on our own and realize a greater financial return for the show."

The 1994 show is expected to feature 168 commissions.
