'Lucy' uncut slated for Nick

Nickelodeon's Nick at Nite will air uncut episodes of the original "I Love Lucy" beginning Feb. 14, restoring three-four minutes that were typically excised to allow for more commercial time in syndication.

The cable network said it will give up those minutes in advertising and promotion time so that the classic series fits within a half-hour format. Nick at Nite has acquired national cable rights for all 179 episodes of the series and 13 hourlong specials titled "The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour."
