The non-exclusive pact will involve "Night Manager" and "Mission: Impossible, " projects under development through Pollack's Mirage Enterprises banner.
Once the films are greenlighted, sources said, the pactwould become exclusive. Pollack will determine his role in the projects, either as a producer or director.
Sources say resolution of the deal is expected this week. "It's a matter of crossing the t's and dotting the i's," said a source, who noted the negotiations have been ongoing for several weeks. Pol-lack, however, will not move into offices on Par's lot.
The heavyweight director recently helmed Par's "The Firm," replacing director John Badham, and may helm "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" for Fox -- where he also has deals -- once legal wranglings with the pic's first director, Jonathan Lynn, are resolved.
The deal would also reunite Mirage topper Lindsay Doran with Par. Doran ankled her senior VP production post at the studio in 1989 to join Pollack's company.
Doran and a Par representative declined comment.
