Zoo labels Valkonen biz veepee
Zoo scored several successes in the past year, including Green Jelly and Matthew Sweet, and has recently solidified its management team with a series of executive appointments, including the hiring of Brad Hunt from Hollywood Records.
"Sami has been instrumental in guiding this company through the last 12 months," said Zoo prexy Lou Maglia.

Valkonen, an MBA from UCLA and the Helsinki School of Economics, was the label's director of finance and administration.
His music industry experience includes owning Rocktops, the largest concert booking agency in Finland.
"With the depth of our artist roster and staff's strength, the coming years will mark an exciting time," Valkonen said, "and I am ecstatic to be a part of that."
