Tartikoff taps Anderson

Brandon Tartikoff's Moving Target Prods. has named its first executive, tapping publicity stalwart Harry Anderson as the firm's executive VP. The TV and film production firm also opened the doors of its Los Angeles office.

Anderson will be responsiblefor strategic planning and key administrative decisions at the company, reporting directly to Tartikoff, who will continue to be based in New Orleans.

Supporting role

"I'm here to make sure it all comes together," Anderson said, "to give our creative people the support they need and give them a secure environment in which to work."

Target has several projects in the works, mixing a diverse slate of TV and feature film projects.

The firm has wrapped the pilot for "Last Call," a syndicated series that will be sold at NATPE. Also in the can are six half-hours of the PBS series "The Steven Banks Show" and two half-hour episodes of "Weekly World News," based on stories from the Florida tabloid newspaper.

Wide range in development

Features in various stages of development include "Without Remorse," from the Tom Clancy book, and "Trophies," a Joel Silver project about "a guys' week away gone awry."

An aggressive TV slate includes several series, among them "Op Center" a two-part NBC miniseries; "X's & O's," a six-hour CBS miniseries from John Wilder; and "The Gospel According to St. Ann," an ABC miniseries vehicle for Ann-Margret.

Anderson was recently senior VP of Sitrick and Company, a media relations firm. From 1990-92 he served as Paramount's VP of corporate communications.
