UCLA Extension will host "Tune-In Tonight: Eight Evenings With Top Creators and Producers of Current Shows" from 7-10 p.m. on consecutive Mondays starting Jan. 24. Participants are Richard Gurman, Don Reo, Rob Ulin, Fred Freeman, Danny Jacobson, Barry Kemp, Billy Riback and Larry David. Fee is $ 225, or $ 30 per session at the door.

Jenifer Lewis' one-woman show "The Diva Is Dismissed" returns to the Hudson BackStage Theater Jan. 23-April 24. The play features songs written by Lewis and director Charles Randolph-Wright. Lewis played Tina Turner's mother in "What's Love Got to Do With It" and co-stars in Whoopi Goldberg's upcoming "Corrina, Corrina."

A restored version of Charlie Chaplin's 1925 classic "The Gold Rush," which Chaplin later scored, will get its U.S. preem March 25 at UCLA's Royce Hall in the Silent Film Gala for the L.A. Chamber Orchestra. The event will feature live accompaniment from 46 members of the orchestra playing the original score as written by Chaplin in 1942. Helmer Norman Jewison has been named honorary chairman of the fifth annual gala.
