Lowe to rob in new James flick
Lowe stars as Jesse, a Civil War veteran who turns to a career of robbing trains because the railroad company killed his father.
Paxton (who also appears in "Tombstone" and the upcoming "True Lies") plays his more laconic brother, Frank. Travis is the hotheaded ColeYounger, a junior member of the James gang.
Trimark reps were not available to comment on the production, but sources said the pic has the largest feature budget yet for a Trimark project. The pic will also feature Sean Patrick Flannery, from TV's "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles," and siblings David and Alexis Arquette.
"Frank and Jesse" is written and helmed by Robert Boris for producers Cassian Elwes, Elliott Kastner and Lowe, with Sandy Lieberson as exec producer. The pic is wrapping in mid-February for a tentative fall rollout.
The pic is the second time out as director for Boris, whose rookie assignment was helming and writing Lowe's "Oxford Blues." Boris also co-wrote "Some Kind of Hero" and the Dan Aykroyd-starrer "Dr. Detroit."
