WB will distrib Rich's 'Hook'

Warner Bros. TV will be the distributor on "Red Hook," a one-hour pilot for a half-hour series being produced by director Matty Rich ("Straight Out of Brooklyn") for Fox Broadcasting Co.

The semi-autobiographical show, focusing on five black youths living in Brooklyn's Red Hook projects, will be exec produced by Rich (who will also direct the pilot) and produced by Dolores Robinson, Scott Lambert and the team of Michael Tollin and Brian Robbins, who are also making the upcoming Fox reality special "Hardwood Dreams."

Rich wrote, produced, directed and appeared in "Brooklyn."

Fox has a half-hour series focusing on Los Angeles' inner-city, "South Central," for midseason from Twentieth TV. "Red Hook" is packaged by the William Morris Agency.
