Fox nabs Dwek series VP

Exec tol head current programmin, development

Fox Broadcasting Co. confirmed Tuesday that it has hired Rob Dwek to be executive vice president of comedy and drama series.

The deal was inked late Friday (Daily Variety, Nov. 10). Dwek, who will head current programming and development, will report to Fox Entertainment Group president Peter Roth, and the comedy and drama development chiefs will report to Dwek.

Dwek assumed the No. 2 post at Fox after working in the same capacity at ABC, as executive VP of series programming. Prior to that, he was president of TV at the Kushner-Locke Co., where he served as executive producer of ABC's "Gun" and "Cracker."

Dwek also has producing experience in the longform arena, including "Husband, Wife and Lover," "Princess in Love," Every Woman's Dream," "Echo" and "Getting Gotti," among others.
