Jaimie Alexander is set as the female lead in EuropaCorpa's "Intersection," starring Frank Grillo.
David Marconi wrote and will direct the pic. Gareth Upton is producing.
Story takes place in Morocco, where the wife of Grillo's character plots to kill him with her lover's help. The plan goes awry when the lover and husband are involved in a car accident on a remote desert road.
Pic goes into production this month.
While Grillo has been locked since the start, several actresses showed interest for the role -- including Brooklyn Decker and Gemma Arterton -- before Alexander eventually landed the part.
Alexander's breakout role came in Marvel's "Thor," as one of title character's warrior companions. She recently wrapped production on Lionsgate's "Last Stand" with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Alexander is repped by WME and James/Levy Management.
