Lionsgate has dated its remake of ''Dirty Dancing'' for July 26, 2013.
Minimajor made the announcement Thursday. ''Dancing'' will open against Disney's ''Phineas and Ferb.''
Lionsgate hasn't cast the pic. In August, it tapped ''High School Musical'' director Kenny Ortega to helm the reboot.
The 1987 romancer starred Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.
Ortega and Debra Martin Chase (''The Princess Diaries'') will produce the new pic, a modernization that with songs from the original, classic songs from the 1960s and new compositions.
