Warner Bros. has tapped Matt Reeves to helm the new "The Twilight Zone" feature inspired by the classic Rod Serling TV series.

Leonardo DiCaprio will produce through his Appian Way banner along with partner Jennifer Davisson Killoran and Michael Ireland. Jason Rothenberg penned the script.

Warner Bros. is targeting the pic as a tentpole, and unlike the 1983 feature that had four separate storylines, this pic will have one story with elements from the "Twilight Zone" universe.

The "Cloverfield" and "Let Me In" helmer has a full sked at the moment, having already committed to direct Summit's Frankenstein-themed "Dark Endeavor," Fox 2000's vampire bestseller adaptation "The Passage" and Universal's sci-fi short story adaptation "Eight O'Clock in the Morning."

Reeves is repped by CAA.
