Image Entertainment has acquired all North American rights to football comedy "Division III: Football's Finest," starring Andy Dick, Adam Carolla, Marshall Cook, Bryan Callen and Sally Kirkland.
Image chief acquisitions officer Bill Bromiley made the announcement Tuesday after closing the deal at the Toronto Film Festival.
Image plans to release "Division III" on the college circuit this fall starting with an October date in Michigan. Dick and Cook, who also directed, will be touring with the film.
Story follows a football team in the lowest division in the NCAA that finds itself in the hands of its worst nightmare -- an overly aggressive, redneck coach -- after their coach unexpectedly dies.
"Division III" is produced by Tyler A. Hawes, Chris Johns and Noor Ahmed. Script is written by Cook, Dick, and Paul Henderson.
