Hafstrom
Exclusive Media Group will produce and finance the thriller "Wake" for its Hammer Films banner and has attached director Mikael Hafstrom ("The Rite").
Screenplay is by Christopher Borrelli ("The Vatican Tape's) with a new draft by Matt Sand ("Deepwater Horizon").
Hammer will produce the film alongside Circle of Confusion, H2F and Slingshot. David Alpert of Circle of Confusion and Chris Cowles of H2F will produce and Stephen Emery of Circle of Confusion, H2F's Chris Fenton and Slingshot's Arvind Ethan David are executive producers.
Exclusive Films International will handle worldwide sales.
"Wake" tells the story of a modern-day Jekyll and Hyde who knows no bounds -- one of the 3% of all men who are considered sociopaths, lacking concern for the wellbeing of others or for the consequences of their actions and one of the 1% of all men born without the emotional capability to experience fear.
Project is being overseen by Shira Rockowitz on behalf of Hammer and Exclusive.
