Shiloh Fernandez, Amber Heard pour 'Syrup'

Indie drama tracks corporate intrigue in the soda biz

Exclusive: Shiloh Fernandez and Amber Heard will topline the indie "Syrup."

Aram Rappaport will helm the project with Barrie M. Osborne and Cameron Lamb producing through Lila 9th Productions. Fotress Features is exec producing.

The pic is based off Max Barry tome about marketing told through the soda industry and the backstabbing and corporate ladder climbing of twentysomethings trying to make it to the top. Rappaport and Barry co-wrote the script.

Production will start this summer in New York.

Fernandez was most recently seen in "Red Riding Hood," and Heard can be next seen starring opposite Johnny Depp in "The Rum Diary."

She is also set as one of the stars of the NBC pilot "Playboy."

Fernandez is repped by CAA and Untitled. Heard is repped by CAA and Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum Morris & Klein.
