Tom Wilkinson good for 'Samaritan'

Tom Wilkinson is set to join Samuel L. Jackson in the indie thriller "The Samaritan."

David Weaver directs from a script he co-wrote with Elan Mastai.

Jackson stars as a former grifter who sets out to put his life of crime behind him after serving a 20-year prison sentence. Wil- kinson will play a crime boss.

Andras Ha- mori is producing with Suzanne Cheriton and Tony Wosk, while Mark Musselman will exec produce with Eli Selden, James Atherton, Jan Pace, Mark Horowitz, Geoffrey Brandt, Lacia Kornylo, as well as Weaver, Mastai and Jackson.

"Samaritan" will lense in Toronto and Rio de Janiero. Pic is skedded for release in early 2012, and producer Anonymous Content will assist the project with domestic distribution.

Wilkinson is repped by Lou Coulson Associates and Principal Entertainment.
