Levinson
After directing HBO's Jack Kevorkian pic "You Don't Know Jack," Barry Levinson is turning his attention to another true-life tale, a political thriller about the Oklahoma City bombing.
Levinson is attached to helm "O.K.C." from a script by first-time scribe Clay Wold.
Story, which is based on Wold's own brother, follows a young legal clerk on the Timothy McVeigh defense team who risks everything to expose a larger conspiracy in pursuit of the truth.
Peter Safran ("Flypaper") is producing and financing the indie pic through his Safran Co. banner, which just wrapped the Chris Sparling-penned thriller "ATM."
Levinson has long had an affinity for true stories, having directed "Good Morning, Vietnam," "Bugsy," "Sleepers" and "What Just Happened."
Levinson is repped by ICM, while UTA and Kaplan/Perrone rep Wold.
