Richard Jenkins joins Pitt starrer 'Cogan's Trade'

Richard Jenkins has joined the cast of Andrew Dominik's crime caper "Cogan's Trade."

Brad Pitt stars as a professional enforcer who investigates a heist that takes place during a high-stakes poker game held under the protection of the mob.

Jenkins ("The Visitor") will play a lawyer who relays inside information about the card game.

Sam Rockwell, James Gandolfini and Bella Heathcote co-star in the film, which starts shooting later this month in New Orleans.

Pitt and Dede Gardner are producing through their Plan B banner along with Chockstone's Steve Schwartz and Paula Mae Schwartz, while Roger Schwartz will serve as a co-producer.

Inferno Entertainment will finance the film and its principals Bill Johnson and Jim Seibel will exec produce with Marc Butan.

Jenkins recently starred in "Eat Pray Love" and "Let Me In." The Oscar-nominated actor will next be seen in the comedies "Hall Pass" and "Friends With Benefits."

He is represented by The Gersh Agency and Bill Treusch Management.
