Fox shuffles dates for 'Apes,' 'Penguins'

Studio moves 'Apes' prequel to Thanksgiving

Twentieth Century Fox has tweaked its 2011 release schedule, slating "Rise of the Apes" for a Thanksgiving-weekend release of Nov. 23.

The "Planet of the Apes" prequel had originally been skedded for June.

Other pics with new dates include family film "Mr. Popper's Penguins," which will hit theaters June 17 instead of Aug. 12. "The Sitter" moves from July 15 to June 24, while "Monte Carlo" is skedded for Aug. 12 instead of July 1.

New Regency's "What's Your Number" will get a Sept. 30 release instead of April 29. The shingle will also release "Now" Oct. 28.

Previously undated "The Big Year" will come out Oct. 14.
