Brit helmer Michael J. Bassett has signed on to direct supernatural horror pic "Saint Mary's."
The "Solomon Kane" and "Silent Hill: Revelation 3D" helmer will pen the screenplay with creator and co-writer Matthew Kingshott, who has been developing the project with Brit producer-composer James Edward Barker's Veneration Music.
Barker will produce via Mann Made Films with Scott Mann ("The Tournament") exec producing. Barker will compose the score.
Complex psychological horror tale concerns an evil presence in an abandoned asylum.
Mann and Barker recently announced a partnership to coordinate on a slew of projects, with Mann Made handling production while co-developing music publishing and scores with Veneration. Pics on their slate include supernatural story "The Vanishment" and domestic comedy "The Mallusionist."
