Second season for 'Wendy'

Williams' daytime syndie in for the long haul

Wendy Williams appears to be settling in for the long haul.

The daytime syndie yakker "The Wendy Williams Show," distribbed by Debmar-Mercury, has been renewed for a second season by stations covering 80% of U.S. TV households. The show has also been renewed through the 2011-12 season by Fox O&Os in top markets, which is a pretty good indicator that the show will stick around for at least two more seasons.

"Wendy Williams," which offers a blend of lifestyle segments, celeb guests and gossip, has drawn credible ratings for a frosh strip. For the season to date, hourlong show is averaging a 0.9 rating with women 18-34 and women 18-49.
