Costner, Reynolds team with Bavaria

Spy comedy 'Italian' to shoot in Germany

Kevin Costner and director Kevin Reynolds are reteaming for "Learning Italian," a spy comedy set to shoot at the Bavaria Film Studios and around southern Germany.

Pic is Costner and Reynolds' fourth collaboration after "Fandango," "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" and "Waterworld."

Costner, Reynolds and Howard Kaplan are producing the film, in which Costner will star.

"Learning Italian," a co-production of Diplomat Films and Bavaria Film Partners, is the latest international production to take advantage of Germany's generous film subsidies and incentives.

Project has received E1.1 million ($1.5 million) from regional funders FFF Bayern and the Bavarian Bank Fund and will likely be eligible for a tax rebate.

Costner, who appears in John Wells' Sundance hit "The Company Men," is also set to star in and direct the WWII actioner "A Little War of Our Own."
