HBO is reteaming with the producers behind "Entourage" to develop a new politically-charged series.

Leverage's Stephen Levinson, Mark Wahlberg and Doug Ellin are prepping a project, from scribe Ben Schwerin, that centers on a young political aide and his relationship with his idol -- the former President of the United States.

Project is currently in the script stage. Schwerin is writing the project and would serve as co-exec producer, while Ellin, Levinson and Wahlberg are all attached as exec producers.

Untitled project reps the latest in what has become a successful relationship between Leverage and HBO. Levinson and Wahlberg are also exec producers on "In Treatment" and the paycabler's upcoming Martin Scorsese drama "Boardwalk Empire."

Levinson and Wahlberg are also exec producers on HBO's new buddy comedy "How to Make It in America."

The Emmy-winning "Entourage," meanwhile, completed its sixth season in October. Ellin continues to showrun "Entourage" and serve as EP with Levinson and Wahlberg (among others).

Also on Tuesday, HBO confirmed that it was developing a Zooey Deschanel vehicle based on Pamela Des Barres' memoir "I'm With the Band"; Tim Gibbons is EP.
